The owners of the Bel Air had two simple goals in mind. Make it safe to drive, and repair the damage that the resident barn mice had made over the years. This began with tearing the whole car apart to bare metal and manually scrubbing all of the interior pieces. The metal and surface rust were then treated and painted over. After the cleaning process was completed, reassembly began. The dash was taken apart, cleaned, and polished. New upholstery was installed on the interior of the car. The owners did not want new paint. They loved the character of the car. Every scratch and dent was a story that they wished to preserve.
